Muslim MPs meet PM: complain non-implementation of 15 point formula

Hyderabad, December 14: M.A. Khan M.P. (Rajya Sabha) said that Prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh assured to take concrete measures for the welfare and prosperity of Muslims. He also agreed to seriously think over forming a parliamentary standing committee on minority affairs.

Prime minister assured this to a delegation comprising of nearly 40 Muslim members of parliament. Mr. M A Khan told that a delegation of Muslim members of parliament led by vice chairman Rajya Sabha Dr. Rahman Khan, met prime minister and apprised him of the problems faced by the Muslims across the country and said that implementation on prime ministers 15 point programme is next to nothing.

Prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh assured the Muslim members of parliament that he would take necessary measures to ensure development and welfare of minorities and it would also ensure to include it in the 12th five year plan.

Prime minister assured Muslim delegation to sympathetically consider the proposal of formation of parliamentary standing committee on minority affairs.
