Muslim Leadership totally failed to protect Muslim Traders from harassment from Telangana Police and Gow Rakshaks, Nearly 1.0 Crores worth of Ox and Bull seized and more than 100 Cases booked against Muslim Traders by Telangana Police:
Amjed Ullah Khan (Spokesman) MBT today said that inspite of so many Muslim political & religious leaders starting from Mahmood Ali (Dy CM) to Asad Uddin Owaisi (President) AIMIM & MP Hyderabad and Non political Muslim organisations like Jamat-e-Islami, Jamait Ulema-e-Hind, Jame Nizamia, Tameer-e-Millat etc totally failed in protecting the Muslim Traders from harassment of Telangana State Police and Gow Raksha Samithi who are transporting animals to Hyderabad from different parts of Telangana and other States.
Before the commencement of Eid Ul Adha and seeing the past experiences there was a meeting of Muslim religious leaders with Mehmood Ali Dy CM TS and consecutive representation by Hyderabad City MLA to Director General of Police Telangana State and also a representation by Sri Mohammed Saleem (Chairman) TS WAKF Board with Sri Nayani Narshimha Reddy Home Minister Govt of Telangana. All Muslim religious & political leaders were given assurances that there will be no interferences from the Telangana Police Department or any Gow Raksha Samithi members will be allowed to stop the transporting of Ox or Bull for holy sacrifice as Ox or Bull is not banned in Telangana State. The said representation was given a wide coverage in all leading newspapers and social media.
But the situation on ground is different and since last 10 days nearly 1.0 Crore worth of OX or Bull has been seized by Telangana Police and nearly more than 100 cases has booked against the Muslims who are transporting Ox or Bull to city. There has been instance of Muslims Traders being manhandled by the Telangana Police and their phones snatched and switched off and their Two Wheelers and four Wheelers vehicles being seized and kept in Illegal detention for 3 to 4 days in Police Stations. Their families in Hyderabad worried when their members did not turn up or not getting in touch with families on phone. On one pretext or the other saying that Doctor Certificate is compulsory for transporting of Ox or Bull or carrying of more Ox or Bull in a vehicle the Muslim Traders are being harassed. There is no one to ask the Telangana Police as why the said Animal Protection Act is only used against Muslim during Eid-ul-Adha and not during Dassera. There is no one to ask our Police why they are silent during Ganesh festival when hundreds of people climb on Lorries with One Idol on the lorry. There is no one to ask Telangana Police as the Tank Bund water being polluted due to immersion of Idols and no Environment Protection Act is used to stop them from polluting water. Recently the GHMC Engineers has said that as there has been increase in Tank Bund water level due to recent rains and immersion of Idols during this Ganesh Festival will submerge nearby localities of Tank Bund, Why the Telangana Police trying to save the locality people.
