Muslim leaders of Congress visit Tandur

On instructions from Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy, C.M. of A.P. a delegation of the elected and nominated representatives of Congress led by Mr. Syed Mohammed Ahemdullah, Minister of Minorities Welfare will visit the riot-affected areas of Tandur.

Mr. Farooq Hussain, MLC (Congress) met the C.M. and complained about the damages caused by the miscreants to the properties of the Muslims in Tandur. He also complained about the harassment of the Muslims by the police. He demanded the C.M. to give compensation to the victims of Tandur on a par with the victims of Sangareddy. C.M. assured Mr. Farooq Husain that he would consider the report submitted by him seriously.

C.M. has instructed the Muslim leaders of the congress to visit Tandur to asses the extent of damages caused to the properties of the Muslims and submit a report to him. He told that he has already spoken to Minister of Minorities welfare, Mr. Syed Mohammed Ahmedullah.

A delegation consisting of Mr. Ahmedullah, Mr. Shaik Mastan Wali, Mr. Shahjehan Basha (MLA), Mr. Mohammed Jani and Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmed (MLC’s) will visit the riot affected areas of Tandur and meet the persons injured in the recent communal violence to assess the extent of damages caused to the properties of the Muslims.

These leaders will also review the steps taken for the restoration of peaceful atmosphere in the town. They will submit a comprehensive report to the Chief Minister for talking necessary action.
