Warangal: Muslim voters are a decisive factor in 53 assembly seats of rural Telangana districts if one goes by the registered electorate in those constituencies.
While in the 14 assembly constituencies spread across the Hyderabad district and old city the percentage of Muslim voters is ranged between 13 to 80 percent in the total electorate, their vote percentage is decisive in five assembly segments of erstwhile Adilabad district. Nirmal constituency in the district holds the key and a total of 30 thousand voters belong to Muslim communities from this constituency.
Similarly, in Adilabad, about 32 thousand voters are Muslims in the total electorate of 2 lakhs. In Mudhole a total of 24 thousand enrolled voters are Muslims. In the Boath constituency, a total of 15 thousand voters in the 1.74 lakh registered voters are Muslims. Likewise 15 thousand voters in the Khanapuram segment are Muslims.
Medak district occupies the prime seat in the total Muslim electorate factor and the zaheerabad segment in the erstwhile Medak got 56 thousand Muslim voters in the two lakh odd electorate.
Patancheru constituency with 48 thousand Muslim votes, Sangareddy with 42 thousand Muslim votes, Andhole with 39 thousand Muslim votes, Gajwel with 25 thousand Muslim votes, Narayankhed with 23 thousand Muslim votes and Siddipet with 17 thousand Muslim votes is foreseeing this electorate as the decisive force at the hustings. Erstwhile Nalgonda is the other district where the Muslim electorate is decisive in six assembly seats. About 11 percent of the total electorate in the district belong to Muslim religion and in Nalgonda town constituency with 23 thousand voters, Munugode with 20 thousand voters, Devarakonda and Miryalaguda with 17 thousand voters each, Suryapet with 13 thousand voters and Bhuvanagiri with 10 thousand voters belong to Muslim communities.
Warangal East constituency is the segment with 25 percent of the enrolled voters belonging to Muslim communities, while in Warangal west a total of thirty thousand voters are Muslims. In Jangaon segment a total of 40 thousand voters in the enrolled 2 lakh voters are Muslims. Similarly, in Station Ghanpur a total of twenty thousand voters in the registered 2.17 lakh voters are Muslims. Palakurthi is the other segment where a total of 15 thousand voters are Muslims.
Karimnagar assembly constituency is the single unit which recorded a total of 90 thousand Muslim voters in its electorate. The constituency got 3.07 lakh voters enrolled electorate. Similarly, in Mahabubnagar a total of forty thousand voters in the 2.12 lakh enrolled voters are Muslims.
In Nizamabad, a total of 4 thousand Muslim voters are enrolled in the list. Bodhan with 22 thousand, Kamareddi with 20 thousand, and Armor with 15 thousand voters occupy in the list of Muslim dominated constituencies in Nizamabad. Similarly Peddapelli(20 thousand ), Ramagundam(20 thousand),Siricilla(18 thousand), Gadwal(20 thousand), Achchampet(12 thousand), Nagarkurnool(14 thousand ), and kalwakurthi (11 thousand ) occupy a place in the seats where the electorate is more than ten thousand belonging to the religion.
In the Rangareddi district, three constituencies record more than 40 thousand Muslim voters among the electorate. Rajendranagar is the constituency where a total of one lakh voters are Muslims.
Similarly, in Maheshwaram, a total of 65 thousand voters in the enrolled voters are Muslims. In Tandur too about 45 thousand voters are Muslims.
Political pundits feel this number could be a decisive factor at any hustings as the difference between the winner and nearest rival could be less than ten thousand in many seats.
