Hyderabad, January 16: The Telangana Muslim Joint Action Committee has alleged that some communal forces are trying to keep the Muslims away from the separate Telangana agitation.

Speaking to reporters here today, JAC leaders Mohammad Raheemullah Khan Niyazi and Mohammad Mushtaq Malik said that the BJP and other communal parties were trying to keep the Muslims away from the agitation.

They said that the JAC would establish its branches in the districts and added that awareness would be created among the Muslims on the need to fight for creation of Telangana state. The JAC leaders extended their support to the agitation of Osmania University students. Raheemullah and Malik wanted that there should be political reservation to Muslims from the panchayat to the parliamentary level, and economic and educational reservation as well. Authorities must establish the rights of the Muslims in the event of division of the State and a Muslim should be made deputy chief minister.

They held that the Nizam of Deccan had done a lot for the development of the region and alleged that since it was rich in resources, migration from the coastal Andhra region was continuing.
