Muslim Coordination committee conducted a mass scale meeting of the Muslim leaders at Zakaria Function Hall, Raipura, Hamankunda in Warangal District under the Chairmanship of State Convener Mr. M.A. Majeed. Leaders of various parties lamented that the political parties of the country are neglecting the Muslims. Mr. Hamid Mohammed Khan, President of Movement for Peace and Justice demanded Congress and TRS parties to give adequate representation to Muslims. He further told that the time of test has come for the Muslims to see whether the political parties fulfill their promises or not. He asked the parties whether the Muslims have been created only to cast their votes. He appealed to all the secular parties to give adequate representation to the Muslims and ensure their success. He announced that the Muslims do not want the politics of obedience but they want the politics of sharing powers. We want the empowerment of Muslims. He warned all the political parties to stop cheating the Muslims. Citing the example of the last Assembly election in Mahboob Nagar, he told that Mr. Syed Ibrahim was defeated deliberately. This time an NGO’s leader has been given ticket. Zaheerabad Assembly constituency has a sizeable population of the Muslims but it has been reserved for SCs.
Mr. Manda Krishna Madiga told that after independence, the Muslims were pushed to background. The Muslims ruled this country for 700 years but during the past 67 years, they have been made more backward than dalits. He told that the Muslims do not want the rule of Mr. Narendra Modi but Congress Party thinks that if Modi is the candidate, it can gain power. He further told that at the time of independence, there were 30% Muslims in Govt. jobs now they are less than 3%.
Former CPI MP of Rajya Sabha Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha told that it is necessary for all the secular parties to give tickets to Muslims according to their population. He questioned the Govt. that there is sub-plan for SCs and STs but the Muslims have been deprived of such facility. The Muslims want their share in power. The secular parties will see the wrath of the Muslim in the next election. He further told that the media is highlighting Modi after getting Modi.
Mr. S. Rajayya, MP told “Our vote and your seat” is not the slogan but our slogan is “Our vote and our seat”. He further told that Congress is a secular party and it is bound to develop weaker sections. Mr. Krishna Prasad, Secretary of INSAAF party told that the Muslims are patriots. They have a civilization and they have maintained the soofi culture even today. He assured that the Muslims should come forward to build the country. Mr. Vinay Bhaskar, local MLA also sympathize the Muslims. A large number of audience attended the meeting.
