Muslim forum approaches Deputy CM urging maintenance of peace on Bakrid eve

Hyderabad: Amidst serious tensions involving cow vigilantism, the United Muslim Forum, a united group of various Muslim religious organizations has approached the state Government urging the Government to take necessary measures to maintain peace and harmony on the eve of Barkid.

In a meeting held at Khankha e Shuttaria Dabirpura, the Muslim leaders said the community has altogether decided on to slaughter sheep instead of cows and bulls on the eve of Bakrid.

The meeting was held in the presence of Deputy CM Mahmood Ali. Moulana Syed Qubool Pasha, Moulana Raheem Ansari, Moulana Jaffer Pasha, Moulana Masood Hussain Mujthaidi, Moulana Safi Ahmed Madani, Moulana Sajjad Pasha, Muniruddin Muqtar and others attended the meeting.

Deputy CM Mahmood Ali assured the Leaders in the meeting that the Government will take all measures to avoid disturbing of peace during the eve and will also strictly maintain the law and order in the State.

The leaders also urged the Government to arrange a mosque near the International Airport.
With the ongoing land scams, the forum requested the Deputy CM to include the details of the second survey of Wakf lands into revenue records and also set up a new computer training centre for the Muslim youths of the state through the Urdu Academy.

The Deputy CM assured the leaders to arrange a meeting with CM KCR for speaking of their issues in presence of State CM.
