Telangana Rashtra Samithi is considering a Muslim corporator for the post of Deputy Mayor in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. Sources in the TRS said chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was inclined to make a Muslim councillor deputy mayor, hence the name of Baba Fasihuddin MD, who won from Borabanda division and is close to KTR is the likely candidate.
According to sources Chief Minister has sought report regarding Baba Fasihuddin. Several leaders have also recommended for Baba Fasihuddin. It must be noted that Baba Fasihuddin is associated with TRS since 2001 and is counted among the confidantes of IT minister K T Rama Rao. He has won GHMC election with 4500 votes in Borabanda division which is considered MIM bastion.
Speaking to Siasat Baba Fasihuddin said MIM leadership had created an environment of rowdyism in Borabanda which he will end. He further said that KTR is his political guru and he will try his best to fulfill whichever responsibility is given to him by KTR.
