Muslim Cong. leaders seek minority budget hike

Hyderabad, January 24: Muslim Congress leaders on Monday called on chief minister Mr. N Kiran Kumar Reddy and demanded to raise minority budget upto 1079 crore for the year 2012-13.

Chief Minister assured sympathetic consideration on the matter.

A delegation of Muslim leaders led by Mr. Mohammad Sirajuddin met chief minister.

After detailed confrontation on the problems of minorities, Muslim leaders had passed a resolution to make representation for rise in the minority budget upto 1079 crore which is less than 1 percent of the total state budget.
