A Muslim cleric was allegedly attacked and injured by five armed men at Jhinjhana town in Shamli district, police said.
Kari Mohd Farman, a cleric in a madrasa here, was attacked last evening by five persons after which he was rushed to a hospital, they said.
A doctor identified as Rajpal has been arrested in this connection and a case has been registered against five others, including the doctor, police said.
The cause behind the incident was not ascertained yet and the investigation is on, they added.
