Muslim child looks on as others offer prayers of the holy month of Ramadan at Hayat Bakshi Begum Masjid in Hyderabad. Hayat Bakshi Begum Masjid was constructed in 1672 during the reign of Abdullah Qutb Shah the fifth Sultan of Golconda. Islam’s holy month of Ramadan is calculated on the sighting of the new moon and Muslims all over the world are supposed to fast from dawn to dusk during the month.
