BJP has demanded the TRS to allot its candidates from Mahboobnagar Assembly constituency in the by-election. This demand of BJP has put TRS in dilemma.
A meeting of political JAC was held yesterday to consider this issue. BJP contended that out of six Assembly constituencies, five candidates of TRS are contesting. These candidates had resigned from their seats in support of Telangana.
The Assembly seat of Mahboobnagar was held earlier by Congress Party which should be allotted to BJP. TRS had decided to give ticket to Mr. Syed Ibrahim from Mahboobnagar Assembly Constituency. Prof. Kodandaram told that this issue would be resolved by BJP and TRS to save the division of Muslim votes which will benefit Congress. JAC of Mahboobnagar also opposed the candidature of Syed Ibrahim.
