Muslim bodies stage dharna at Hajj House, demand implementation of welfare schemes

Senior Communist leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha demanded immediate suspension of Waqf Board lawyers. Addressing a sit-in protest held by Tanzeem-e-Insaaf Telangana and Deccan Waqf Protection Society in front of Hajj House building he said that even after a long time Waqf Board lawyers have failed to submit counter affidavit in the High court. Lamenting upon High Court’s admonishment to the Waqf Board lawyers and the department, he claimed that Waqf properties of the state are on the verge of destruction due to alleged nexus between corrupt staff. He demanded setting up of Telangana Waqf Tribunal and also demanded to clarify government’s strategy regarding complete disbursement of minority budget within two months.

President Deccan Waqf Protection Society Mr. Osman bin Mohammed Alhajari, President Tanzeem-e-Insaaf Telangana Mir Ahmed Ali, General Secretary Insaaf Telangana Muneer Patel, City president Insaaf Syed Kaleemullah Asker, General Secretary Mohammed Hashmat and others addressed the dharna. Later the protestor submitted a memorandum to Director Minority Welfare Telangana Mr. Jalaluddin Akber demanding immediate setting up of Waqf tribunal and making all the proposed schemes for Muslim welfare effective.
