Muslim bodies oppose Netanyahu’s visit to India

New Delhi: Justice loving social organizations once again announced their opposition for Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to India.

On the initiative of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind General Secretary Maulana Syed Mahmood Madani the core committee formed on Palestine issue unanimously decided to raise voice in India in favour of Palestine. A meeting of the core committee formed unanimously by Jamat-e-Islami Hind, All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen, All India Muslim Majlis Mushavirat, All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadeeth, All India Milli Council was held.

According to the press note issued by Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind the meeting discussed Israeli Prime Minister’s visit to India which will begin from Ahmedabad on January 14. The meeting unanimously decided to oppose Netanyahu’s visit to India. Leaders hailed government of India’s stand who voted in favour of Palestine in United Nations.

The meeting was well attended by Maulana Mahmood Madani, Sirajuddin Quraishi, President India Islamic Culture Centre, John Dayal, Secretary General All India Christian Council, Harcharan Singh Josh, Ashok Bharati Dalit leader, Naveed Hamed, President All India Muslim Majlis Mushavirat and Maulana Niyaz Farooqui member Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind.
