Rainbow is also defined in colours as VIBGYOR. Like different colours in VIBGYOR make a rainbow, Muslim Aid an NGO Charity from the Britain is doing work irrespective of cast, creed and religion in India under its Rainbow Family Program.
The interesting part of the Rainbow in its extends from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari in the extreme south our correspondent in Srinagar inspect this Rainbow Family Program and subsequently met India evaluator of projects Mr. Mirza Feroz Baig in Srinagar.
According to Mr. Baig, Muslim Aid has been helping the poorest of the poor people in over 70 countries to overcome the suffering endured due to natural disasters and lack of basic necessities.
Mr. Baig from Muslim Aid said that “though we are a Muslim charity, we help the poor and needy regardless their religion and race. We are dedicated to serving humanity. Our main projects in India include the RAINBOW Family Program, water and sanitation, education, microfinance, disaster and emergency management, Ramadan and Qurbani”. We at Muslim Aid fund charities in India who have approvals from the Government to receive foreign funds. Muslim Aid is planning to expand its operations in India under the law of the land.
Mr. Baig said that there are various projects group on in different parts of India. He elaborated in the low cost toilets being constructed in Samastipur in Bihar.
India Northern States of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are the most backward states where in present day also people are not getting Electricity leave alone other essential basic necessities.

Mr. Baig said that Educational Scholarship projects are being run in Mumbai, a Computer Institute has been setup in Bihar, while classes have been funded in Odisha.
Ramadan and Idd Programmes :
Mr. Baig said that Muslim Aid is working in ten states of India where Muslim aid distributes Ramadan Food Packets to the poor and at the time of Idd –ul-Azha, Qurbani meat is distributed among the poor muslim and other needy.
Speaking about the RAINBOW Family Program, he said poor childrens with education, health care, food clothing and emotional well being is run by Muslim Aid in Kashmir and Kerala.
Mr. Feroz Baig said that donors can become a port of this programme by adopting a child for 25 Pounds a month. We provide donors with timely updates and information for their satisfaction.
Muslim Aid has also walked in state of Gujarat, Andhra and Assam at the time of Floods.
