Musical workshop for Enzo at Abu Dhabi’s Oud House

Abu Dhabi, March 12: talian artist Enzo Avitable held a small workshop at Bait Al Oud (Oud House) in Abu Dhabi Thursday.

Italy’s original musical star was invited by Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) to perform Thursday at Abu Dhabi open air beach as part of a year-long program World Stage.

In the workshop, Enzo talked briefly on the history of music as well as changes that took place in the basic rhythms and melodies over time.

Enzo and the Bottari Drummers interacted with 10 students in the House and exchanged their experience in dealing with oriental and western musical instruments.

The Bottari explained the background of their wooden drums, which are not known in the Arabian region.

The students sang with Enzo for about an hour in a unique cultural blend scene.

They sang together “Dance with me” and “Sing Palestinian”.

Oud House is a musical institution launched by ADACH dedicated to teach authentic Arab music instruments such as Oud, Qanon and others.

Naples-born Enzo is a talented singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist who had worked with James Brown and Tina Turner among others.
