Bangladesh Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim has said that their upcoming two-Test series against Australia will be their ‘biggest chance’ to beat the ODI champions.
ESPNcricinfo quoted Rahim as saying, “In 2006 they (Australia) were the greatest team of all time. At that time we were long way from even thinking about beating them, and some even questioned whether we can play for four days”.
The 27-year-old insisted that his side should become like their ODI side, adding that their win over the tourist would be a great way to end the year.
Rahim, who made his Test debut against England in 2005, said that his young side would focus on their strengths and consistency in the upcoming Test series.
He also labeled skipper Steven Smith as Australia’s ‘main cricketer’ and, therefore, they will try to keep him under pressure.
Bangladesh will play two Tests against Australia in Chittagong and Dhaka from October 9 and October 17 respectively. (ANI)
