Musharraf facing threat of terrorist attacks during court appearances, warns ministry

Pakistan’s former president Pervez Musharraf is facing threat of a terrorist attack during his appearances in courts.

The interior ministry dispatched a letter to the law ministry, underlining threats Musharraf is facing from various terrorist outfits.

According to the News, in the letter the ministry also said that an explosive-laden vehicle was found near Musharraf’s farmhouse, which has been declared a sub-jail.

The interior ministry said that Musharraf’s movement provided a golden opportunity to terrorist to go ahead with their plans.

It noted that the law ministry should propose suggestions to the courts to confine his movements as a terrorist attack was most likely in the given circumstances, the report said.

The ministry had also issued a security alert on April 10 with regard to threats to Musharraf, it added. (ANI)
