Chief Minister Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao is just doing lip service in case of minorities. These views were expressed by ex-corporator MBT Mr. Amjadullah Khan Khaled while speaking to media persons after offering prayer at Shamsabad airport. As the permission is not given to erect shade in the airport premises for prayers, musallis are forced to offer prayer under the scorching sun or rain.
Amjadullah Khalid told that International airport was constructed during Congress government on Waqf land especially by demolishing Masjid-e-Omer Farooq. On strong protest by the Muslims the then minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir had promised to provide not only land for Masjid-e-Omer Farooq but also a budget of Rs.2 crore for construction. However the promise remained unfulfilled. Earlier GMR tried to give an impression that there were no religious structures on the land but local youth shared the videos in media as well as in social media which created flutter.
Amjadullah Khaled demanded that the government seriously review the matter or else MBT along with musallis of the airport will stage protest dharna against government and GMR.
