Johannesburg : World number two Andy Murray overcame David Ferrer of Spain in a tight four-setter to progress through to the semifinals of the Australian Open on Wednesday.
Murray, the four-time finalist at Melbourne Park, claimed a 6-3, 6-7 (5/7), 6-2, 6-3 win over eighth-seeded Ferrer in a contest that lasted more than three hours, Sport24 reported.
Murray will next face either Milos Raonic or Gael Monfils in Friday’s semi-final. (ANI)
