Lakshmi Narasmiha Rao (48) a Software Engineer working in America killed his wife and two children on 13th October 2008 in America. After this, he fled to Frankfurt (Germany) from Detroit airport, reached Hyderabad and disappeared.
Michigan police is investigating this case. It obtained a non-bailable warrant from Auckland country court and got the red corner notice issued from Interpol. Based on the details of his passport Interpol had sought the help of Hyderabad City Police.
Chief of CID Mr. Krishna Prasad had entrusted this case to Vijawada CID Inspector Mr. K. Lakshminarayana. Yesterday Lakshminarasimha Rao was arrested and a case has been registered against him under section 41(G) of IPC. It was understood that he would be handed over to American police for further investigation.
Sources indicated that the father of the slain girl, Mr. Koteshwara Rao has already registered a criminal case in Vijayawada for harassment of dowry. This case is pending in Vijayawada.
