Hyderabad: Soon after the release of election notification, activities of the political leaders were accelerated.
There are indications that Congress party leaders are contemplating to ask the candidates desirous of seeking party tickets to deposit Rs 5 lakh.
This step is being taken to curb the evil practices of luring the voters by offering them money.
It may be noted that a large number of candidates who were successful in the previous election, joined TRS later.
It is reported that this time, Congress party will select candidates who could not sell themselves after winning the elections. For this purpose, the party may conduct a survey in order to ascertain the honesty and credibility of the candidates.
