Hyderabad, December 13: Out of 580 hospitals149 have been issued ‘No Objection Certificate’ . This was told by Mr. Krishna Babu,Municipal Commissioner. Notices have been issued to all the hospitals who do not possess ‘No Objection Certificate’.
They have been directed to get fire safety system installed in their hospitals within a month, otherwise stern action would be taken against them. It is understood that the Municipal Corporation is adopting precautionary measures after the incident of Kolkata hospital in which 90 patients were killed.
In addition to this, major institutions have been asked to get the fire safety instruments installed in their buildings very soon. Municipal staff will start inspections of big-buildings, hotels,hostels,shopping malls and commercial complexes to check fire safety measures.
