Munafiq : Dont name your childrens after film stars

Film industry is dominated by fake or pseudo Muslims who dont even respect Islam and in fact they are not our role models and they are taking away our young generation from Islam .Eid means mega bucks opening for Hindi films featuring the super stars, but this year a cleric in Meerut has appealed Muslims not to name their children after actors Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan.

During Eid ul Fitr namaaz, Qari Shafiq-ur-Rehman said there was no point naming one’s children after Salman or Shahrukh Khan as they were no role models for us our role model is Prophet Muhammed (pbuh). He stated that the actors release their films on Eid to earn money during the festive season but never contribute anything to the better of the community in fact these actors exploit us emotionally and we get easily carried away.

The name of a person makes an impact on his personality and thinking. Therefore, I advise parents to choose their child’s name for its meaning.” He added that film celebrities were no role model. “They thrive on the feelings and emotions of the people,” he said.

Sunni cleric Maulana Khalid Rasheed of Darul-ifta Farangi Mahal in Lucknow, however, said the statement cannot be generalised. “It is true that name make an impact on a person but it cannot be a thumb rule.
