Mumbai: Suspecting ‘love affair’, husband hacks wife to death

Mumbai: Suspecting his wife of being in an illicit relationship, a husband reportedly killed his wife of 12 years, police said.

The incident occurred in the office where the victim Veena(37) was attacked and allegedly hacked to death by her own husband Kumar Bhoir(32) in Bhayender yesterday, TOI reports.

The accused later turned himself in said the police.

According to police, the victim left her home on January 2 after which Kumar filed a missing complaint for his wife.

When the victim was summoned by the police she said she left home at her own will.

Cops said Kumar went to the CA firm where Veena worked on Tuesday and got into a heated argument with the victim which eventually ended in Kumar stabbing her.

“He fled the scene and later, surrendered to the police. The knife has been recovered,” a police officer said.

When the victim opened the office at 10.30am, Kumar followed her and demanded her return.

“The couple got into an argument and Kumar reportedly slapped Veena as she told him to leave. He then stabbed her and fled the spot, later surrendering himself to the the police,” added the officer.
