At least twenty three people were killed in a stampede at Mumbai’s Elphinstone railway station. The stampede took place at the foot-over bridge on Friday. Initial reports suggest more than 23 dead and over 60 people are injured. BMC’s disaster management unit said “required agencies have been mobilised.”

Reports suggest that heavy rains triggered the stampede at Elphinstone railway station. The incident occurred around 10.46am and 20-25 people are said to be injured in the incident.
Medical team has been rushed to the spot. More details awaited.
