Mumbai Sessions’ court set to hear Indrani’s bail plea

Mumbai: Hearing on prime accused in Sheena Bora murder case, Indrani Mukerjea’s bail plea will begin in the Mumbai Sessions’ court on Saturday morning.

Indrani had, earlier, moved the sessions’ court seeking bail on medical grounds.

In her 17-page bail plea, Indrani has said that her medical condition was deteriorating and she was suffering from frequent blackouts. An annexure of medical reports that ran into 50 pages further states that Indrani is suffering from a life threatening disorder and it may lead to brain stoke.

The court had on last Saturday extended judicial custody of Indrani Mukherjee, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyamvar Rai till February 12.

Indrani, her ex-husband husband Sanjeev Kumar and her former driver Shyamvar Rai, were arrested in August in connection with the killing of her daughter Sheena in April 2012. Sheena’s partially-burnt body was found in the forests of Maharashtra’s Raigad District. (ANI)
