Mumbai to get Vodafone 4G services by December 2015

New Delhi, Oct 12 : Vodafone India, the country’s second largest telecommunication carrier, will launch 4G services in Mumbai by December 2015.

The company has been investing in development of 4G services and testing has been successfully initiated. Vodafone India has partnered with leading global technology infrastructure service providers for the network rollout.

Mumbai, with around 30 percent of data revenues, is one of the top data markets for Vodafone in India. Vodafone is investing heavily in high capacity fibre to increase internet connectivity.

With latest technological developments, Vodafone is building a robust and resilient network architecture coupled with strong backup to support the expected volumes and speed requirements of its customers.

Ishmeet Singh, Business Head, Mumbai, Vodafone India, said, “We are excited to launch our new 4G services in the superior 1800 MHz band for our customers in Mumbai. Having launched 4G services in several countries, Vodafone has the requisite expertise and experience to ensure that its 4G service in Mumbai will be best in class.”

Vodafone has already rolled out over 1000 sites and invested more Rs. 500 crore in Mumbai. (ANI)
