Mumbai: 80-yr-old dies after car hits the railings

Mumbai: In an accident reported from Thane, an eighty-year-old man lost his life after he lost control of his car and hit the railings on Mumbai-Pune highway this Wednesday.

The incident occurred when Dattatray Tawde was crossing Khalapur and reportedly lost his control of the car. The Police says he was headed to Pune.

The officer from Khalapur station said, “Tawde suffered severe injuries on his head and other parts of his body. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died after some time”.

The Police informed the family members of the deceased from the Aadhar that was recovered from his pocket.

The officer added, “Tawde had undergone an eye operation a month ago. His son had told him he would take him to Pune after a few days. But, Tawde could not wait and decided to drive himself. He was probably unwell and that might have caused him to veer off track.”
