Mulayam unhappy with UP govt’s performance: Akhilesh

Accepting that government’s functioning was not up to the mark so far, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today admitted that Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav was angry over the working of the government. “He (Mulayam Singh Yadav) is the head of the family. He has the right to feel angry, if we do not perform up to the mark,” Mr Akhilesh Yadav told reporters after inaugurating development schemes worth Rs 7000 crore in the state capital. Mulayam Singh Yadav had taken a meeting of party legislators, including MPs yesterday and asked them to be more receptive towards people’s cause. He had even said to have given six months time to the ministers for visible change in the functioning of the government. Mr Akhilesh Yadav and his party’s an senior ministers were present when Mulayam spoke for almost one hour. He also gave them a pep talk asking them to work for the betterment of the state. Mr Akhilesh Yadav did not elaborate as what exactly happened in that meeting but said, ” We will try to pacify Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) through good work.” UNI
