Muhammad Abdul Hafeez stands on his own legs

28-year-old Mohammed Abdul Hafeez native of a small village of Warangal lost his both legs due to electrocution just a day before his marriage. Then the doctors amputated both his legs and a hand to save his life. Siasat daily came forward to help Mohammed Abdul Hafeez stand on his legs.

At first Mr. Zahed Ali Khan Siasat editor handed over Rs. 50000 to Abdul Hafeez during a Du Ba Du programme conducted at Warangal. Then soon after the publication of a heart touching story about the youth, readers of Siasat from city and abroad gushed forth to extend financial support to Abdul Hafeez and only within 18 days Rs. 325000 was collected for fixing prosthetic legs. With the help of Helping Hand Foundation and Artho India, prosthetic legs made in Germany were fixed.

Abdul Hafeez who is presently residing in Sanathnagar at his sister’s residence, met siasat editor Mr. Zahed Ali Khan and news editor Siasat Mr. Amer Ali Khan along with his mother Aleema Begum. They became emotional on the occasion and prayed for Siasat and its readers. It must be noted that some NRIs have promised to help Abdul Hafeez get a job.
