Mumbai, June 03: Mugdha Godse is confessing that by working in films as diverse as JAIL and ALL THE BEST she is enjoying the best of both worlds. While former is a gritty dramatic affair by Rohit Shetty, the latter has Rohit Shetty bringing on a full on laughter show with ample dose of gloss and sheen.
”What more could someone like me want who is only one film old and finding her feet in Bollywood”, smiles Mugdha who had made heads turn with her spirited and sustained act in Madhur Bhandarkar directed FASHION last year.
Throughout the month of May, Mugdha was juggling between Mumbai and Goa where the shoot of JAIL and ALL THE BEST were under progress. Wasn’t that tiring, especially due to the neck injury that she carried after being hit in a road accident? ”People do ask me this question all the time but my response is that it couldn’t have been better than that. I am enjoying the best of both worlds simultaneously”, she says.
Rohit is extremely considerate
How about shifting genres in a matter of few hours as she hops from one set to another?
”I guess I managed it well in the end. One day I was dancing and joining the celebrations with a large number of co-stars in ALL THE BEST. Then on the very next day I had to be all sombre and serious for JAIL. It’s tough to change moods but I try to do as much home work as possible before I report on the sets”, says Mugdha who is seeing her stocks rise in Bollywood on a steady note.
Mugdha has almost recovered from the neck injury that she had suffered a few weeks back after meeting with a road accident. Still, she is trying to play as safe as possible in order to prevent her injury from being aggravated.
Mugdha Godse’s search begins…
”Though in JAIL there is not much physical stress, ALL THE BEST is a full on ‘dhamaal’ affair which requires you to be a lot more active physically. Since it’s a comedy with lots of music and naachgaana, I was literally required to be on my toes all the time. With my current neck situation, I have to be extra careful”, says Mugdha who is yet to sign any other movie beyond these two flicks.
”Well, there are good movies in the pipeline but let me talk about them at the right time. Currently, it is JAIL and ALL THE BEST for me and two movies are ensuing that I do not get any breather whatsoever. Am I complaining? Certainly not”, declares Mugdha who is paired opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh in JAIL and Fardeen Khan in ALL THE BEST.
I have to work today since I can’t alter history
Incidentally, Mugdha is already staring at a double whammy ahead since both JAIL as well as ALL THE BEST are slated to arrive during the same time period. While ALL THE BEST has already pencilled in 16th October as its release date, Madhur Bhandarkar too has gone on record to state that JAIL would most likely arrive in either September or October.
Now it has to be seen if Mugdha would enjoy the best of both worlds even at the box office in case JAIL ends up clashing with ALL THE BEST.
