Addressing on the occasion of convocation of Jamia Nizamia, draping of ‘khilat’ and ‘dastarbandi’ and ‘Urs’ celebration of the Jamia founder, Islamic thinker Mufti Khaleel Ahmed Shaikhul Jamia Nizamia said ‘Religious education is the life of Islam and the scholars, in every period, have offered their valuable services for the propagation and development of religious education.
In today’s era carelessness is excercised in the propagation and development of Islamic knowledge hence it needs attention of Islamic community and thinkers. Propagation of Islamic knowledge depends upon preparing of scholars.
The Islamic thinker asserted that Jamia Nizamia is engaged in the promotion and propagation of Islamic knowledge keeping in view the requirement of modern era. It is also guiding Muslim community on various levels. Jamia has established a strong educational network which is functional across India. No of branches of Jamia Nizamia has reached to 215.
The convocation of the Jamia Nizamia, the ancient seminary, was held here on Sunday April 22. The passed outs wore ‘dastar’, a white turban like headgear. As they were awarded degrees they were draped ‘khilat’.
