The Muslim United Front, an umbrella organisation of several religious, social and political groups, has decided to hit the streets in protest against the killing of five under trials at Aliar of Nalgonda district in a “fake encounter”.
The MUF is organising a public meeting at Khilwat Grounds on Tuesday night in protest against the “fake encounter”. The meeting will be presided by Moulana Abdul Rahim Qureshi, President of All India Majls-e-Tameer-e-Millat and Assistant General Secretary of Muslim Personal Law Board.
MIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Majlis-e-Ulema Deccan President Moulana Syed Qubool Pasha Quadri Shattari, Jamia Nizamia rector Syed Shah Akbar Nizamuddin, Ameer of Amarat-e-Millat Islamia Moulana Hussamuddin Saani Aamil Jafer Pasha, Advocate Mohd Abdul Azeem and other leaders would address the meeting.
It may be mentioned that the MUF has rejected the offer of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of a probe into the encounter through a Special Investigation Team (SIT). The MUF leaders are firm on their demand for a probe through CBI or a sitting judge of the High Court. (INN)
