Mudragada hunger strike: YSRC flays government

YSR Congress Party leader Botsa Satyanarayana demanded the immediate release of the Kapu Nadu leaders who were arrested during the Tuni agitation demanding quota for the Kapus.

Speaking to media persons here on Friday, Satyanarayana found fault with the senior home minister China Rajappa’s statement that Mudragada would be arrested if needed. Instead of resolving the issue of providing reservation to Kapu community, the State Government is making the issue more complex by issuing irresponsible statements, the YSRC leader quipped.

He demanded that the State Government take stern action against the officials who allegedly assaulted the protesters during indefinite hunger strike of Mudragada. Even the women were not spared and were roughed up and mercilessly beaten. The people of the state would teach a befitting lesson to the TD government if it backtracked on the issue of providing quota to the people of Kapu community, Satyanarayana warned. (INN)
