Mudragada Feels ‘Cheated” By Chandrababu

Hyderabad: Senior Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham today bemoaned that he was feeling “cheated” for believing Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP government regarding protection of interests of the Kapu community.
It may be mentioned there that Padmanabham and his wife recently went on indefinite fast demanding reservations for Kapu community by including it in the BC list. As the issue snowballed into a major crisis for Naidu and his government, a delegation of the AP Government comprising ministers called on the fasting leader and persuaded him to withdraw his ordeal by making numerous assurances on the Kapu issue.
Speaking to the media at his native Kirlampudi village, Padmanabham regretted that the TDP Government and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu have let him down badly. “I feel cheated for believing them. Not a single promise made by Naidu has been fulfilled so far”, he lamented and quipped that Naidu was compelling him to take to the streets once again for the cause of the Kapu community.
Reiterating that he does not have any political affiliation with any party, Padmanabham asserted he was only fighting for the interests of the Kapu community. “I was forced to break my indefinite strike by making numerous promises. Loans are being doled out only to members of the yellow brigade. The promise to include a Kapu in the BC commission is yet to be fulfilled. What is more, those who had participated in the Kapu Garjana in Tuni, were being continuously harassed with false cases, he charged.
He revealed that his future plan would be announced soon in this regard after his meeting with Kapu leaders on Thursday to chalk out a future course of action. (NSS)
