Mubarak’s wife asks UK Queen for help

London, January 27: Wife of the former Egyptian ruler Hosni Mubarak has asked the British Queen to help with the hospitalization of Mubarak in Britain, which is proved to be a safe haven for world criminals.

According to an Iraqi news agency, Nakhelnews, Suzanne Mubarak sent a letter to Queen Elizabeth demanding to create a situation through which ousted Egyptian president could be taken into hospitals in London for treatment.

The letter, which was sent to the Queen by the British embassy in Cairo, included the copies of Mubarak families’ British citizenship along with legal status of Mubarak and his sons.

Critics believe that Suzanne Mubarak has chosen a right place for taking refuge in, as Britain is a safe haven for the world criminals and agents of despot regimes.

British government has already proved its hypocritical nature, as on one hand it hosted Mubarak agents and on the other hand attempted to ally itself with Egyptian revolutionaries.

Only ten days after Mubarak was toppled, Prime Minister David Cameron gave a visit to Tahrir Square, he praised Egyptian people’s revolution and claimed that his government would help the democratic process of “a genuine transition from military rule to civilian rule.”

Earlier this month the Egyptian press attacked the British government for its refusal to extradite Mubarak’s Finance Minister Youssef Boutros-Ghali, who was sentenced to 30 years in prison for corruption in absentia.

Moreover, there are contradictory reports over health conditions of Mubarak who has been hospitalized in the luxurious international medical center since he was brought to trial for the first time last August. This is while that hundreds of victims injured during the revolution complained that they could not receive any medical treatment.

Mubarak, ousted last February after 18 days of pro-democracy demonstrations, is accused of abuse of power and involvement in the death of more than 800 protesters. However, he has several times denied any responsibility for the deaths and other charges.
