Former PCC President M Satyanarayana Rao on Friday warned the Congress party against delay in formation of Telangana.
Talking to reporters at Gandhi Bhavan after participating in the party’s Formation Day celebrations, MSR said that while the Seemandhra leaders have misled the Congress High Command, the Telangana Congress MPs have failed to impress upon the Centre over the Telangana issue. However, he warned that the Congress party would be wiped out of the region if it delays the decision on statehood issue further.
The former PCC chief also condemned pro-Telangana leaders for provoking the youth over the statehood issue which drove several men to suicide. He said those lives could have been saved, if the leaders would have behaved in a responsible manner.
