Washington, December 18: MSI, the motherboard and graphics card manufacturer, has launched its new R5770-PMD1G graphics card that is embedded with the over voltage function of GPU.
The card comes with the Radeon HD 5770 GPU, 1 GB of high speed GDDR5 memory and 800 units of stream processors and is made with 40 nm manufacturing process.
In addition to the above, the card supports DirectX 11, and the ATI Eyefinity technology for three-screen output. MSI has provided the card with an overclocking technology, named as ‘Afterburner’, which supports overvoltage function of GPU and enables the tuning of the fan speed according to the eight different temperature triggers.
With the ‘Afterburner’ technology of the MSI, it is possible to attain a maximum over-locking voltage of 1.300V. The card is equipped with an 8 cm engine fan with PWN fan control function.
The MSI R5770-PMD1G supports the new ATI Eyefinity technology, which enables the user to obtain a three-screen output with a single card, in which out of the three one of the display outputs goes through the Display Port interface, while each screen can be displayed at a resolution of 2560 by 1600.
The card can play the latest 3D games as well as HD movies, and also provides support for the Open CL and other GP-GPU computing technology.
The company has not yet informed about the price of the MSI R5770-PMD1G.
