The ruling Congress party alleged that Honorary President of YSR Congress Party Ms. Vijayamma is using more than permissible number of vehicles for her election campaign and thus she is violating the code of conduct of election.
A delegation of Congress led by Mr. P. Narasimha Reddy, General Secretary of Congress met Mr. Bhanwarlal, Chief Electoral Officer and submitted a detailed memorandum to him. The delegation requested the CEO to find out the number of vehicles used by her and take action agasint her as per rules.
The delegation included Dr. C. Uma Malleshwara Rao, IAS (Rtd), Mr. A. Shyam Mohan, President Intellectual Cell of APCC And Mr. J. Narsing Rao, Secretary, APCC.
Talking to newsmen later, these leaders pointed out that the election contingent of Ms. Vijayalakshmi had more then 50 motor vehicles. Barring two vehicles the remaining vehicles didn’t have permits. Hence they appealed to impose a fine of Rs. 20 lakh on the motor vehicles used without permission.
They also alleged that Sakshi TV is showing the photograph of late Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy which is the violation of election code of conduct. It should be treated as paid news and its expenditure should be included in election expenses.
They also appealed to the CEO Mr. Bhanwarlal to instruct the Election officers to stop free distribution of Telugu Daily Sakshi.
