Ms. Sonia will talk T-issue with UPA allies next week Core Committee meeting on 5th Nov in Delhi

Hyderabad, October 30: Union Health Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad in charge of A.P. affairs met Ms. Sonia Gandhi yesterday. It has been decided that before consulting the allies of UPA it is desirable for Congress to make its stand clear. It will be decided in the Congress Core Committee meeting to be held on 5th November 2011. It is probable that a meeting of the Congress working committee will also be held on that day.

It is learnt from reliable sources that Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad is proceeding to Aferican countries on a four day visit.

Stressing the need to resolve Telangana issue, he said that other issues can’t be solved unless T-issue is decided. He informed Ms. Sonia that though employees strike has been called off, the agitation has not been finished. It is better to prepare a road map before the commencement of the winter session of the Parliament. If a meeting of the allies of UPA is convened, they would ask about the stand taken by Congress on T-issue.

It is better if the opinions of the members of the Congress working committee are sought individually or by convening a meeting. Prolonging the issue may cause damage to Congress Party.

Mr. Azad also discussed the issue pertaining to giving representation to the member of Praja Rajyam Party also in the Congress Working Committee. The issues pertaining to cabinet explansion and the appointments to corporations and boards were also discussed. Mr. Azad said that the center is trying to resolve T-issue as early as possible.
