According to a press note issued by Mr. Mohammed Hafeez District Library Chairman, the existing library building of Shamshabad was proving to be insufficient for the readers. District Library Authority sanctioned Rs. 20 lakh for its extension.
Home Minister Ms. Sabitha Indira Reddy will lay the foundation stone of the library extension building at 11 am on Tuesday 23rd May 2012. The library will provide computer lab, children’s corner other facilities.
Mr. Hafeez appealed to the students’ community to make use of the library facilities to enhance their knowledge. He said that a Demand Register has been kept in the library. The readers can suggest the books of their choice. Orders for the purchase of books would be placed according to the choice and demand of the readers.
Mr. Mohammed Hafeez took a round of the library and took stock of the situation of the books available in the library. The secretary was also present on this occasion.
