Mr. D. Venkateshwar Rao gave a jerk to Congress leadership by not exercising his vote in Rajya Sabha elections. Now his wife, Ms. D. Purandeshwari has threatened Congress High Command by writing a letter to Mr. Digvijay Singh that she will not contest as an MLA for the General Elections to be held in a couple of months. It is understood that she is trying to find a pretext to resign from Congress Party. He refused to cast his vote in favour of Mr. K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao and T. Subbi Rami Reddy. She blamed the Congress High that it has not given any importance for their request to keep AP State united.
