MRPS postpones 72-hr dharna to Sept 7

Madiga Porata Reservation Samithi founder Manda Krishna Madiga on Thursday informed that the 72-hour dharna proposed to be held from Friday has been postponed to September 7.

Talking to reporters, Krishna Madiga said that the dharna demanding justice for the physically handicapped persons in the State would now be held from September 7. He condemned the statement of Minister for Physically Disabled Welfare Sunitha Laxma Reddy stating that the government would not increase pension for the physically handicapped persons. He said that the government should consider their demands on humanitarian basis.

Krishna Madiga said that the MRPS activists would stage 72-hour long dharna at the Secretariat, Chief Minister’s Camp office or before the chambers of Sunitha Laxma Reddy in the Secretariat. (INN)
