MRPS leaders meet Chandrababu, narrate tales of woe

Vijayawada: A delegation of Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti leaders, led by AP Social Welfare Minister Ravela Kishore Babu today called on Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and apprised him of the social and economic problems of the Madiga community.
After a patient hearing, the Chief Minister said his government has always been supportive of the Madiga community. He assured them that his government would continue to support the community in the future too. He also said the State government would allocate increased funds for the welfare of tanners from LIDCAP.
The Chief Minister also stressed on the need for maintaining communal harmony in the State. He said the Madiga community must play a key role in the construction of Andhra Pradesh capital city. Since the classification of Scheduled Castes issue was pending with the Union government, everyone needs to act with equanimity on such sensitive issue, the Chief Minister said. (NSS)
