Panic was created in Abids area when a member of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi climbed the hoarding with a bottle of petrol and threatened to commit suicide against the attitude of the police. It is reported that the activists of MRPS assembled at Murlidhar Bagh to pay homage to those who laid down their lives during the categorization of SCs demand movement in the past.
Police had objected to the behaviour of these activists and arrested some of them. To record his protest against the arrest of MRPS activists, Mr. Shiva Kumar climbed the hoarding and threatened to commit suicide. Traffic was disrupted for about 3-4 hours at Abids area yesterday.
