Hyderabad: Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily felicitated 600 Muslim students who got admissions into MBBS this year. This function was held on Thursday, 28th September at Golden Jubilee Hall, Siasat Urdu Daily Office Complex.
While addressing the gathering, he said that if Muslims work hard, they could get their lost position. The best example is a large number of Muslim students who got 20% MBBS seats this year.
Continuing his speech, he said that after the Police Action, the condition of the Muslims had become very weak but positive change is being seen these days. Many Muslim students are seeking admissions into medical and engineering courses. It is a welcome gesture. He advised the Muslim students to struggle for their progress and avail of the facilities provided by the Govt.
He mentioned that the guidance services provided by Siasat Urdu Daily yielded good results. He applauded the efforts of M.A. Hameed, Counselor of Siasat Urdu Daily. He informed that due to this guidance program, 600 students were able to seek admissions in Osmania, Gandhi, Deccan, Shaadan, Apollo, VRK and other medical colleges. Mr. Zahid Ali Khan distributed medals and certificates of merit to Muslim students.
Dr. Taqiuddin Khan of Osmania Medical College was the Chief Guest. He advised the students to work hard and maintain discipline. Mr. Mohammed Noman was the guest of honour. He represented parents of the students. He thanked the guidance services provided by Mr. Zahid Ali Khan and his staff.
Earlier, Mr. M.A. Hameed, Career Counselor welcomed the audience and guests. He informed that on account of the guidance program, 600 Muslim students could get admissions in MBBS course. Mr. Manzoor Ahmed introduced the guests. Mr. Khaja Ali Shoaib proposed vote of thanks.
