Mr. Zafar Sareshwala will take over as the 4th Chancellor of Urdu University today. Mr. Zafar Sareshwala (52) is a well known successful industrialist who is very close to Mr. Narendra Modi.
Before taking over the new responsibility, Mr. Sareshwala presented his vision and said that he would prepare such students which are required by Industrial Sector. Many a time, he had to face the wrath and criticism of Minority communities for applauding Mr. Narendra Modi. He said that it is very important to link the students of Urdu University graduates with employment. Since he belongs to Industrial Sector, many business houses offered him their cooperation. He further told that Universities are identified in the entire world with the quality of research and criticism in the literary field. He wants to know the progress made by the students of Urdu University in the field of research. He wants to get a prominent status to Urdu University.
He mentioned that Prof. Mohammed Miyan, Vice Chancellor of Urdu University met him in New Delhi and apprised him of the aims and objective of establishing the university. He said that his prime motto would be to restore the lost grandeur of Urdu.
He said that his appointment as Chancellor of Urdu University was a pleasant surprise for him. He had not dreamt of it that he would be appointed for this coveted position. It is only the blessing of Allah (SWT). He was confident that Allah will help him in fulfilling his responsibilities as Chancellor in a better way. He rejected the criticism of his opponents that he does not know Urdu. He said that his mother tongue is Urdu. He can not only talk Urdu but also write. He is equally proficient in Urdu and English. His family served the cause of Urdu for a long time, especially when in 1972 Urdu was fighting the battle of its existence in Gujarat, his father established a board for the promotion of Urdu. From that time onwards, International Mushaira on National Solidarity is being organized continuously. He also revealed that Mr. Narendra Modi is very fond of Urdu. Last year when the work relating to his Urdu website was being done, he entrusted this responsibility to famous dialogue writer, Mr. Saleem Khan. At that time, Mr. Modi had told that it is most unfortunate to exterminate a sweet language Urdu, associating it with a particular community. Mr. Modi had told that it is very regrettable that he cannot read or write Urdu but he likes to listen to Urdu conversations.
