Chairman of 20-Point Programme Implementation Committee, Dr. N.Tulasi Reddy bitterly criticized TDP Chief, Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu and said that he has started the craze for affixing his signatures right now.
He is making false promises that he would, affix signatures first on the files pertaining to waiver of loans to farmers.
He has declared that he would affix second signature on the files to close down illicit liquor shops and the third signature on NTR Sarvajala Srawanthi Scheme.
He told that this claim of Mr. Naidu is ridiculous. The fact is that the dream of Mr. Chandrababu Naidu’s assuming power is something like rising of the Sun from the West instead of East.
Talking to newsmen, Dr. Tulasi Reddy said that Mr. Naidu used to collect 10 to 11% interest on the loans given to farmers during the TDP rule.
Due to this, the farmers who could not repay the loans used to commit suicide. He pointed out that soon after assuming power, Congress Govt. introduced the scheme of 25 paise interest. Under this scheme, 20.29 lakhs farmers have been benefited and they got Rs.152 crore rebate. During the current financial year, Rs.200 crore have been allocated to sanction loans to farmers. The farmers were not in a position even to repay these loans.
Congress Govt. led by Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy introduced interest free loan scheme to the extent of Rupees one lakh and allocated Rs.375 crore for this purpose.
Criticizing heavily the statements of Mr. Chandrababu Naidu, Dr. Tulasi Reddy said that all his promises are false and deceitful.
He further told that the present Congress Govt. has decided to include 5, 266 more villages to provide drinking water facilities.
