Congress MP from Vijayawada, Mr. L. Rajagopal met the Union Home Minister, Mr. Susheel Kumar Shinde in New Delhi and declared that the bifurcation of AP State is impossible. He expressed his apprehensions that in the event of bifurcation, there will be communal riots in the state and the violence of Naxalites would increase. He also demanded the Home Minister to take action against the convenor of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee, Prof. Kodandaram for threatening Civil Supplies Minister, Mr. D. Sreedhar Babu.
He had made reference of Sreedhar Babu’s father Sripath Rao’s assassination by Naxalites. He had told that he would also meet the same fate. Mr. Rajagopal also appealed to the Home Minister take a note of the advice given by Congress MP from Nizamabad, Mr. Madhu Goud Yashki for damaging the properties of Seema Andhra leaders in Telangana area.
He pointed out that after this statement of Mr. Madhu Goud Yashki, the statue of Mr. K. Brahmananda Reddy was desecrated and Mr. K. S. Rao’s residence was attacked.
He emphasized the Central Govt. not to adopt the policy of dilly dallying on Telangana issue and straight away declare that the formation of Telangana is impossible.
